Here is a link to a great story about Jacob Smith and his Nana, Nancy Wilson. They hand out “Smile Bags” to children staying at Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter and to students needing a lending hand at Messalonskee High School. These bags are filled with toiletries, pencils, notebooks, blankets, games, stuffed animals, and in the winter months hats and mittens. Jacob saw a need for this in his community and wanted to make sure each student and/or child knew that someone cared about them. Enjoy and Thanks for this Jacob!
