Education Week recently profiled 38 Elementary and Middle Schools worth visiting. This list includes schools that are creating extraordinary learning experiences for it’s students via a host of avenues. This post by Tom Vander Ark, author of Getting Smart, identifies schools creating powerful learning experiences. Messalonskee Middle School was listed for their learning goal time (LGT) where Learners work on Learning Goals or seek out time for help with assignments. This is one of the many efforts being used at Messalonskee Middle School as they continue the journey towards a Proficiency Based Customized Learning System.
