As we prepare to begin the holiday break, I wanted to share an editorial that was in the Morning Sentinel this morning. Alan Caron speaks about the how the expectations of our schools and teachers has changed dramatically and continues to change. And with this is the expectation that teachers (and schools) do far more than in the past to prepare today’s learners to be ready to be contributing members of society. So as the staff of RSU 18 takes a break along with other school districts in Maine and across the country, I salute the wonderful and crucially important work you do day in and day out.
